Hall of Fame (Art Deco) x *Curly Sally (*Curly Tom)

When I bred Sally to the WB stallion Hall of Fame, I was hoping that I would get a curly colt to be my future herd sire. For 10 long months Denise (Sally's person) and I chanted "Curly Colt, Curly Colt" every time we got together. When Harmony dropped a curly colt on the ground in May, I ran to the phone to call Denise so that she could run out and change our "order" for a curly filly from Sally instead. She didn't think her request would be well received by Sally but said that she would try. When I got the phone call on June 6, that Sally had foaled a curly filly and a pinto at that, I was thrilled with the news.. WAAHOOO.. A perfect curly filly to compliment Harmony's colt.  I was even more thrilled because I had been sort of feeling like I had "lost" Sally from my herd and was glad to know that I would be able to keep some of Sally's line in my breeding.

*CC spent her early months with Denise at Bridge Creek School of Massage.  Denise did a great job raising up a healthy, extremely self confident filly. Jim and I were very pleased with the weanling we brought home in October. *CC is very energetic and very sure of herself. If you ask her to do something new, she will think about it a few minutes and then give it a go. And once she learns it, look out, cause she will do it again and again just for fun. You should see her leap up and down the cattle ramp at the back of the barn. YEEHAAA.. lots of fun!!  Out in the field, *CC had a few social lessons that had to be learned when she came to us. She had spent her first 4 months living only with her mom and one or two geldings that were well below her mom on the pecking order. So for CC to come here and suddenly be out in a real herd, well, to say it was a bit of a shock to her system would be putting it mildly. After a few weeks of being shown her true status in life (down at the bottom with the other babies), *CC has learned to be out in a large herd with no troubles.

This filly has wonderful movement. She has lots of suspension and freedom in all three gaits. She is exceptionally athletic, jumping over our fences the first day she was home and also having learned to leap up the 5 foot banks at Denise's house.  Her sire Hall of Fame is quite the jumper, so I am happy to see she inherited that trait as well. We look forward to *CC maturing and being a integral part of our breeding program and performance horses.
