*Bit O Wy Maehem

SOLD!! Heading to Germany!

Mae came to me from the open lands of Wyoming. She is a second generation Mustang mare that comes from two  wild caught horses. Her sire is the one carrying the curls and is a 16 hand golden palomino named "Mellow". I bought this mare as a two year old, and I don't mind saying I was a bit worried that she would arrive unhandled and lacking in basic people skills.. A good friend and fellow Curly breeder hauled her home to me while I was away for the weekend. I came home and trooped to the barn in the dark with  more then a tad bit of apprehension about what I would find waiting for me. Much to my delight, I found a friendly and mannerly filly there that instantly found a place in my affections.

Mae loves people and attention and spends lots of time following me around the pasture giving me horse kisses on the back of my head or jacket. She only uses her lips and is gentle as can be. This filly is a sensitive horse that tries hard to do the right thing when asked, learns incredibly fast and never forgets a lesson.

My plans for her included a rendezvous  with Troy in the spring of 2003, but Mae had other ideas about who her prospective husband should be. Somehow at a critical time, Mae managed to get herself in with Sioux and well, you might say the rest is history. Mae is due in March. :-)  What I think is really interesting is that Sioux and Mae have a real love affair going on. Mae refuses to even look at my other two stallions and will go to great lengths to avoid them. Conversely she LOVES Sioux and never misses a chance to stop and talk with him and share scratches over the fence. Sioux in turn, loves her best out of all my mares and is constantly calling and talking to her.. It is very sweet, but I sure do hope I can convince Mae to "talk" with Troy next year..
