When I decided to breed a line of Curly ponies, I knew that finding the right cross breeding stallion was going to be of utmost importance. Curlies are known for their wonderful dispositions and it would be a crime to do anything to change that, particularly since disposition is one of the most important qualifications of a child's mount. I am most pleased to say that I succeeded beyond my wildest imagination when I brought home this fabulous, young  pony stallion.

Quark (his barn name) was chosen from the multitudes of Welsh Pony stallions available on the basis of his disposition and his outstanding athletic movement.  It is a testament to his incredible disposition and trainability that my  9 yr old daughter has taken on the task of breaking Quark to saddle as a 3 yr old. (read more about this on our Journal pages). Anne has done all the saddle work with him since day one. They ride out in the fields as well as in the close company of mares and Quark never fails to listen to his young trainer and do his very best for her..

In addition to his wonderful temperment, Quark is blessed with exceptional movement, including an athletic, uphill canter that he can do all day long. I am thrilled to be crossing this stallion to my herd of large Curly pony mares and can't wait to see the foals.

Due to space and time constraints ( not to mention the fabulous pony colt Peter Pan) Quark has been gelded and is now being riden by mulitple Pony Club'ers. He is working on his advanced training skills, as well as jumping, gaming and trail riding. Quark is offered for sale and his price will increase as his riding experience increases.

For Sale !! ~ 1700.00 ~  Special consideration given to Pony Club and 4-H homes.
