*Tiger Lily (aka
*Tilly) FOR SALE ~ $7000.00 US
Tilly is a year old now and quite the personality. She is one of the boldest and most curious horses on the place, and yet she is not bratty or obnoxious at all. If you call the herd, she is the first to come running and the first to see "whats up". I measured her at 14 hands the day these pictures were taken (Aug 2, 2006) and I do expect her to mature at 15.1 hands or better. I am very much looking forward to this filly maturing. She is one probably my favorite of the Diamond x Troy siblings, with a very nice balance to her. She should excel in the performance arena or in the breeding band.

(I left this in from when she was first born.)
Tilly is the third foal from this Troy/Diamond pairing and it looks as if the parents are perfecting their technique. Tilly has good size, good width and nice bone. Personality wise, she is great fun to have around, very bold and adventuresome (as are ALL of Troy's offspring). She also has a sweet side to her, coming up easily to humans and asking (demanding really) for love and attention (in other words, that butt scratching all foals seem to think they are entitled too). Tilly is exceptionally curly with tightly curled eyelashes (will have to try to get a picture of those) and also curled whiskers. Her coat has that wirey texture that occasionally accompanies a homozygous Curly horse. As time passes, it is looking as though Tilly might be an extreme traited Curly. Hard to say for sure yet, her mane has been rubbed out, but then ALL my foals rub out their baby manes, and her tail is showing signs of hair loss to, but again, rubbing often takes its toll on tail hair.. I guess only time will tell if Tilly is an Extreme or not. If she is, that isn't a problem for me, I have always said that to know an Extreme is to love an Extreme.. AND I can easily just confine my breeding of her to outcross stallions which will ensure a good mane and tail (and also generally curls too) on all her foals. (update June '06 ~ Tilly is NOT an extreme Curly. She sheds the top few inches of her tail and her mane shortens up to a few inches long in the summer time, but she does keep her mane and plenty of tail hair. She is still one of my curliest ladies on the farm though.. Wowee!! does she get curly in the winter time. )
I hadn't intended to sell this filly, (once I saw that she WAS a filly), but circumstances require that I put her on the market at this time. She is one very specially young lady and I am sure someone will be more then pleased to take her home with them. And if no one grabs her quick, I will be tickled to keep her here for myself.. :-) Tilly's full brother, *Talisman is now also offered for sale.
