Toni
is a year old now and really turning into a fabulous mare. I always knew she was
alot like her mom but as time goes on, she is more and more like her. She has
the same sweet disposition as Harmony does, along with all the other nice things
that I love about her mom. Bone, awesome hooves, great movement and more, this
filly is a complete package.

I left this in from when
she was "little".
WOW!!
After what seems like YEARS in the waiting, finally a FILLY is born
here at Windy K Curlies. Okay, yes it actually has been years of waiting,
our last fillies were born back in 2001. I would say the wait was definitely
worth it. Just in time for lunch on May 21, 2005 Harmony foaled out this perfect
Curly filly for me. I think the whole neighborhood heard my "WAHOO!"
of joy as I looked under the tail and saw that one of those mythical fillies had
FINALLY made it to my barn. And what a fantastic filly she is!! I had
always suspected that Harmony might produce the most incredible foal when
crossed to Troy and I am pleased to say that indeed she has. Toni has got the
best from both parents. She has a beautiful head and neck that is very
feminine. Lots of width and substance thru her chest, shoulder, back and rump;
good bone in her legs and nicely formed hooves. AND she seems to be keeping all
her tail hair. always a good thing when your mom tends to throw extreme traited
foals. She has currently rubbed all her mane out, but I expect her to grow that
back in soon.
Did I mention her disposition and personality? Ah well, she is super sweet and
loves people, always has from day one onward. She is bold and curious, more then
willing to go out exploring on her own and she has enough gumption to threaten
her old TB gelding "uncle", then she thinks better of it and scoots
off to hide behind her mom.. haha.. Silly girl! but one has to admire her guts
for trying.
She is shedding out to a
dark dark black bay color, and is growing like a weed. Toni endeared herself to the
employees up at the vet clinic while she was there with her mom, while Harmony
was being bred via AI for 2006.
I
had intended to keep this fine filly all to myself and not offer her for sale.
But... Life has a way of intervening.. and I am find myself needing to seriously
cut back on the number of horses in my pasture So... I can't believe I am
saying this, but Toni is being offered for sale.. This is one fabulous filly!!!
If she sells, we'll all miss her very much, but it is also important to us that
she find a special person to be with and that she gets out to see the world and
reach her full potential.. Quick folks, get her now, before I change my
mind... This is the filly of a lifetime!
