Above and below pictures taken 2006 ~ All grown up and looking FABULOUS!
Troy
was my first born foal in this wonderful breeding adventure. We all fell in love
instantly! The only problem was that he was supposed to be a filly, a pinto
filly to be exact. That was what I had ordered.. I already had not one but TWO
stallions and certainly didn't need or want a third. So when he was a week old,
I put him on the sales market. This was a tough choice for me because in my eyes
he was PERFECT! It didn't take long for me to decide that here was a colt to
nice to sell on. So I decided to keep him, and geld one of the other stallions.
Troy was here to stay!! Troy
went to our regional expo in 2002 and participated in a clinic with GaWaNi Pony
Boy. That was fun to watch. Troy handled himself wonderfully and was a
willing and interactive participant with Pony. In the end, Pony said that
here was a horse that was going to be with you for the long haul. That if things
got tough, the horse wouldn't quit on you, or wimp out!! A great endorsement to
the temperament of a young Curly stallion. We
had our first two babies sired by Troy in 2003. They exceeded my
expectations. Both colts were improvements upon their dams, while retaining the
good characteristics of each parent. I really couldn't have been more pleased
with them. Nick at Night was awarded First Premium status at the CSI inspections
in July and was the site Reserve Champion Young Horse. Troy's second foal crop
consisted of one superb curly colt . *Talisman, that was awarded First Premium
status as the CSI inspection in July 2004 and is being retained as a junior
stallion prospect. Troy
has been ridden by Cheir Myrink in BC for 2 years now. Cheri has taken him to
several "Stallion Showcases" as well as a couple of dressage clinics
with Marj . In 2006 Cheri took Troy to his first dressage show. The picture
at left was taken July 2005, you can see he is "bothered" by the kids
goofing off in the background.. NOT!! . :-) *Troy
was awarded Premium status at the CSI inspections and entered into the Premium
Stud Book with CSI. Some comments from the judge included, "Very good
proportions, good topline, correct movement, good rhythm, good carriage and good
elasticity at all three gaits"
